Our Advisory Group

The ABA Advisory Group is integral to our work. It is elected from core members of the Anti-Bullying Alliance every 3 years. The next election is due in Spring 2027.

The ABA Advisory Group consists of representatives from:

Our chair is Professor Peter Smith from Goldsmiths University. 

The role of Advisory Group members is to:

  • Steer ABA’s strategic development and agree policy
  • Identify priorities for the programme of work
  • Consider suggestions and feedback from ABA members
  • Agree public statements within the remit of ABA policy and make recommendations to members on key issues
  • Consider applications for core membership
  • Develop agendas for ABA member meetings
  • Advise on and support funding proposals
  • Act as ambassadors for the Alliance

    Alice Jones Bartoli (NCB)

    Alice is Deputy Director, Education and Early Years at NCB. She is a Professor of Psychology in Education with a background in social and academic exclusion.

    Mubashar Khaliq (NSPCC)

    Mubashar Khaliq, a dedicated local campaigns manager at NSPCC, has dedicated over 15 years to developing and delivering impactful campaigns for the protection of children and young people.

    Jennifer Moses (NASUWT)

    Jennifer heads up the NASUWT teachers' Union equalities and training team, and has 20 years of experience in supporting schools on anti-bullying work.

    Professor Peter Smith (Chair of ABA)

    Peter Smith is Emeritus Professor of Psychology at Goldsmiths, University of London. He has been a member of ABA since its foundation. He has also been involved in evaluating the UAB intervention; and since 2015 has produced an annual Focus on Bullying report (a digest of the years research, in the UK).
