Jay Virdee (BulliesOut)

Jay Virdee is an experienced educator, trainer and facilitator with more than 25 years of professional experience across education, training and business. As a long-term trainer for BulliesOut, she delivers their anti-bullying and wellbeing programmes in schools across England and Wales, including Peer2Peer, Playground Pals and sessions for Parents. Through her own business, she also supports the charity's Speak Out campaign and National Anti-Bullying Week, helping to promote safer, more inclusive school communities.

A qualified teacher, Jay has led IT, Business Studies and Young Enterprise programmes across secondary and further education. She is the founder and director of Learning Tutor Ltd and created the #SadBookChallenge, a literacy and emotional wellbeing initiative that gifted copies of Michael Rosen's Sad Book to schools. Prior to her career in education, Jay held senior sales, marketing and training roles within blue-chip organisations.

Jay is also a passionate advocate for inclusion and awareness of rare autoimmune, lung and invisible health conditions. Drawing on her lived experience, she has appeared in national and international media to promote understanding, dignity and inclusion in both workplaces and educational settings. Her personal story, published by BBC News in September 2017, became one of the BBC's most-read articles and reached a global audience.
