Rating description:

  • Fully met: All pupils have been surveyed to measure levels of wellbeing and bullying in the last 12 months and this is shared, and data is used to inform whole school developments.
  • Partially met: Some pupils have been surveyed to measure levels of wellbeing and bullying but not in the last 12 months or it is not reviewed regularly and used to inform whole school developments.
  • Not yet met: Pupils have not been surveyed to measure levels of wellbeing and bullying in the last 12 months.

Why is this important?

Surveying ALL pupils about bullying provides vital insights into the school’s climate of wellbeing and safety. Regularly gathering and analysing this data ensures that your anti-bullying strategy is driven by pupil voice, making it more relevant, responsive and impactful. Using this feedback to guide whole-school improvements fosters a supportive environment where every pupil feels heard, valued and protected.

Top Tips:

  • Completing the Pupil Questionnaire as part of the UAB programme will help you partially tick this goal off straight away. See resources below for guidance. 
  • Use the results from your surveys to inform developments across the school, such as for your School Improvement Plan, Anti-Bullying Action Plan, or PSHE curriculum. See examples of how schools have done this in case studies below.
