Our members are the lifeblood of the Anti-Bullying Alliance (ABA) and we are always delighted when we receive new applications for membership.
Membership is open to organisations and individuals that support our vision and values and want to work with us to stop bullying.
There are three types of membership:
- Core membership (for organisations with a substantial remit in tackling bullying)
- School and College membership (for schools and colleges that support our vision)
- Associate membership (for organisations and individuals that support our vision)
Core membership
Core membership is open to organisations (including local authorities) whose work relates to children and young people and who have a substantial remit for and/or expertise in tackling bullying.
Applications for Core Membership are approved by the ABA Director and members of the ABA Advisory Group.
Core Members:
- Agree with ABA's values
- Have a substantial focus on delivering projects and programmes that aim to reduce the incidence of bullying and create safer environments for children and young people
- Agree to participate in the work of the ABA
- Contribute to discussion and debate within the ABA in order to further the understanding of effective anti-bullying practice
- Provide contact details of a senior staff member
- Undertake to disseminate ABA information within their organisation
Core Members receive the following benefits:
- Use of the ABA Core Member logo
- Monthly ABA e-bulletins that include information on our work, the latest bullying news, research and resources, training and events, anti-bullying policy/legislation etc.
- Invitations to attend ABA member meetings, training and other events, with valuable networking opportunities
- The right to vote for members of the ABA Advisory Group
- Opportunity to stand for election to the ABA Advisory Group
- Opportunity to influence ABA policy work and to take part in ABA consultations e.g. on government proposals across England, Wales and Northern Ireland
- Your organisation listed on our website with a logo and a link through to your own website
- Your organisation listed on our Areas of Operation Directory
Core membership costs £100 (+VAT) per year

School and College membership
School and College Membership is open to schools and colleges that are in support of ABA's values.
School and College Members:
- Agree with ABA's values
- Support and promote anti-bullying messages in their day-to-day work
- Are either a school or college (find out what we mean by “school and college” here)
School and College Members receive the following benefits:
- Use of the ABA School and College Member logo
- Monthly ABA e-bulletins that include information on our work, the latest bullying news, research and resources, training and events, anti-bullying policy/legislation etc.
- Invitations to attend ABA members meetings, training and other events, with valuable networking opportunities
- To be listed on the ABA website as a school and college member, with a link through to your own website
- Your organisation listed on our Areas of Operation Directory
- Priority access to Anti-Bullying Week news and discounts for ABA merchandise and paid for training
School and College membership costs £90 (+VAT) per year.
Please note: This membership does not give you access to the United Against Bullying programme. The programme is offered free to schools in England only and is separate to this membership.
If you are a Multi-Academy Trust (MAT), you can join as an Associate Member, but this does not mean you have membership for each of your schools. Should you want each school to become members, they can individually join as School and College Members or if you would like to bulk order memberships for the schools in your trust, please email [email protected]

Associate membership
Associate membership is open to organisations and individuals that are in support of ABA's values.
Associate Members:
- agree with ABA's values
- support and promote anti-bullying messages in their day to day work

Associate membership costs £60 (+VAT) per year.
