- Fully met: Anti-Bullying Week takes place each year and pupils are proactively encouraged to plan, support and deliver it.
- Partially met: Anti-Bullying Week takes place each year but it is led by school staff with minimal or no pupil involvement in the planning, support and delivery of it.
- Not yet met: Our school does not partake in Anti-Bullying Week.
Why is this important?
Anti-Bullying Week is a vital opportunity to raise awareness about bullying, promote kindness and respect, and foster safer school communities. Involving pupils in its planning and delivery empowers them to take ownership of the initiative, amplifies their voices, and ensures the activities are more meaningful and relevant to their experiences.
Top Tips:
- Anti-Bullying Week happens in the third week of November each year and is coordinated by the Anti-Bullying Alliance. Each year the theme changes and ABA create and deliver resources along with various resources/campaigning from our members. To find out more about Anti-Bullying Week click here.
- More than 80% of schools in England do activities in Anti-Bullying Week reaching over 7.5 million children and young people.
- We recommend sharing your school's plans for Anti-Bullying with parent/ carers to encourage a wider involvement across the school community.
