Come and celebrate the success of our flagship Belonging Matters programme, designed to help schools create inclusive, welcoming environments where every pupil feels they belong. This is your chance to hear inspiring stories from participating schools, discover practical tips you can apply straight away, and explore insights from our independent evaluation.
Belonging in school is vital for children’s wellbeing, confidence, and ability to learn, yet pupils who are marginalised because of factors such as poverty, disability, racism, faith, sexuality, or being new to the school community are most at risk of feeling excluded – leading to loneliness, lower attainment, and a greater likelihood of experiencing bullying.
We are delighted to have a guest speaker from Goldsmiths University London who will be talking about the insight from analysing quantitative and qualitative data from the participating schools’ questionnaires and audits, and the how this data can shape future belonging initiative.
The second part of the event will include a panel discussion with several of the schools which took part in the programme. There will be space to submit questions from the audience.
We’ll also share what we’ve learned, the impact the programme has had, and how schools are embedding best practice to improve pupil wellbeing and reduce bullying. You can read more about the programme here.
