VotesforSchools called on pupils to join their national conversation about bullying.
Findings from Anti-Bullying Week
VotesforSchools developed FREE resources to support Primary and Secondary in having discussions about how to 'Choose Respect' for Anti-Bullying Week. Schools also had the unique opportunity to participate in a national vote, using VotesforSchools' award-winning platform.
Primary schools:
The following FREE Primary resources were available from VotesforSchools.
- 5-7/KS1 & 7-11/KS2 lessons on the question: "Do you know how to handle disagreements respectfully?"
- Lesson plans and curriculum guidance
- Teacher information, plus signposting for parents & carers on where to get support
- A whole-school assembly focusing on conflict, disagreements and respect
Secondary schools:
The following FREE Secondary resources were available from VotesforSchools.
- 15-minute tutor time & 45-minute PSHE sessions on the question: “Do you know how to resolve conflict respectfully?”
- Lesson plans and curriculum guidance
- Teacher information, plus signposting for pupils on where to get support
- A whole-school assembly focusing on conflict, disagreements and respect
All schools:
In addition to the resources, schools had access to a unique opportunity to have their pupils' voices heard.
- FREE access to the award-winning VotesforSchools platform that brings oracy to life in the classroom
- Invitation to a live student webinar to share pupils’ opinions with the nation.
This year, VotesforSchools led the biggest ever national conversation and vote for children and young people about bullying. The focus was on dealing with conflict and disagreements with respect.
